At First Sight; That Very Moment,They Were All They Knew

At first sight; that very moment, they were all they knew,

Someday, they will hear, church bell tolls;

A two person crew, together, two hearts grew.

Soon a lifetime they would share and view,

Just as His love panteth after their souls

At first their moments together will be few.

Letters, long distances, crying goodbyes as God drew,

His desire for her and unending love he scrolls,

Waiting through tears and three years, they lived within the curfew.

She waits doing classes, babysits and an instrument to revue.

They are tiresome of country life; off to the military he enrolls,

Slightly increasing the wait to stroll between the pew.

Jumping into the clouds; and distance skiing all brand new.

Seeing lakes, oceans, rivers and streams and shoals;

The world, discipline and nations, going where the wind blew.

Romantic letters that is her close friends points of view,

Unable to hear Him their lives went through the goals.

At first sight; that very moment, they were all they knew,

Time passes and families multiply after deep review.

    ah you captured a beautiful picture of falling in love and then the waiting, the longing, the distance which is only an outside distance..not easy but sounds it was worth the wait…wondering if it’s your own story…ha yes – i’m that curious…smiles

    Nice flow to this villanelle, with a slightly mournful feel to the refrain lines.
