Touching Brushes

brushes rough touch
strokes pressure create
trees bending high
low fields of wheat
perfect depth stack
bumps vary ups
pressure in mind’s eye
visual color small large
short long wide narrow
director moves flow
bumps up down smooth
touch of the brush
brushes light touch

smiles…i rather like the brush strokes in actual painting as it allows you to see the artists movement and feeling in how he/she went about painting…nice flow to your words…

I could see you painting this – the varying pressures of the brush strokes and the images those strokes can create depending on how the “director moves flow.” a great textural image you have created here 🙂

Very painterly – giving us a palette of feelings. It has traces of yearning within it.

Sharon, I love it that you describe the actual process of painting. Nice use of texture…reading yours and some of the others makes me want to get my paints out.
