“I Will Rock Your World”: Bliss

Seeing, her Third Eye
Flashes back, to words,
a memory she never
has those, what memory,
flashes. Remembering?
He says: “It’s worth it!”
“Come home w/ me? Please.
I will rock your world!”

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Disappear in the Bliss.
Confident offering.
Accustomed to disillusion;
she runs, to a dead
place. Where love is missing.
Thinking of “him”. Shoulda.
Alone, in a home that was

supposed to be happy.
Together as life partners.
This coldness, racing out
the door to watch football,
his condom fell! It was
inbetween the doors of
the foyer. Literally:

the pain in her heart
unbearable from this
cruel treatment &
this betrayal. Wanting
to just pick up and
run into “his” open
arms. A keen ability:

she could have loved
with “him”, in his bliss.
Invitation, woulda, never
come up for air. Coulda
been truly Bliss, not
quite the life imagined
in her dreams. Life happens.
Sometimes destined. Two

years later an email.
One quiet invitation
connect? A timing never
quite there in the past;
surfacing, why? Cautiously,
fearful of the pain
of loss, nervously she
replies, hitting the email

send button, knows if
he does not reply the
second time she, she
will not be brave
again, maybe for years.
Adrift, alive, not really.

Two new people, renewed
friendship with possibilities.
Who knew, he could rock my
world. Will I rock his?

*Bliss is a state of enjoyment, happiness, ecstasy, pleasure, and more.

The phrase “mind’s eye” refers to the human ability for visualization, i.e., for the experiencing of visual mental imagery; in other words, one’s ability to “see” things with the mind. Sometimes referred to as Third Eye.

**The pineal gland, also known as the pineal body, conarium or epiphysis cerebri, is a small endocrine gland in the vertebrate brain. It produces melatonin, a serotonin derived hormone, that affects the modulation of sleep patterns in both seasonal and circadian rhythms.    Its shape resembles a tiny pine cone (hence its name), and it is located in the epithalamus, near the centre of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two halves of the thalamus join. The gland has been compared to the photoreceptive, so-called third parietal eye present in the epithalamus of some animal species, which is also called the pineal eye. René Descartes believed the pineal gland to be the “principal seat of the soul” and viewed it as the third eye.

***The phrase mind’s eye refers to the human ability for visualization.

*”Him” or “his” or “him” is one very dear person whose wish is for anonymity. :).

what a cool story…perhaps happy endings just have to be in the right time you know…and maybe it was not meant to work before because you both had to be ready for it…

    “Woulda, coulda, shoulda,”

Words of the past it seems..

AS the youth of today are..

Just doing it seems.. to me….nOW!

A romantic story perhaps.. of a time gone by..

where mystery of the unknown is a sure way to

    wonder FULL…

There is not much mystery in love.. anymore.. it seems…

The days of slow dance in dance halls are Lone gone…past….

YES! replaced by bootie dances in raw way..meet..

    of past unknown….BUTT..

At a restaurant called Bliss there is another world…

    in a twilight zone…of TRUE love..NOw…

but! why not dream of days gone past..:)IN..

    fan TASTIC

WAY of love lived as one TRUE now…..:)

And that’s just wHere the twists and turns..

    of your interesting words continue

turning in my mind to DAY..;)IN..

    NOW…

An interesting and sad story here – much hinted at, not sure I entirely understood (but then that’s not the point of poetry, is it?). Hope they find bliss, even if just for a moment…

I see the writing in the margins of the relationship and how one gets sidetracked sometimes…painful lessons learned. We should always follow our Bliss.

The simplicity of a renewed contact.. mending across those years — hopefully.

Sometimes the history of a relationship can be a real positive. Hope you found/find bliss. A lot of vivid description here. k.

If only we could go back…but this train has only one gear, forward. This isn’t a dress rehearsal, this time around is the real thing. The world waits for you, participate….

Bliss has since closed. Of course it has reopened as another neat spot. Just not for us. We popped in twice and actually were maltreated. Rather shocked. So we did not even stay to order dinner.
